About us
Our Mission
RIHA, (Regional Ice Hockey Association) is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization formed in 2008 to bring Ice Hockey to the six High Schools of the Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD). This organization is comprised of parents and volunteers who graciously volunteer their time.
Since November of 2008, our FRHSD High Schools have been representing their schools inter-scholastically adding cooperative partnerships along the way.
Today, we are proud to say that our teams have participated competitively, with most making playoffs and some even competing in state championships for their respective schools. Based on enrollment numbers each year, we field Varsity and JV teams.
Our unique situation is quite challenging each year, as we are required to meet an estimated $300,000 budget each year to provide ice time, coach salaries, busing, referee fees and uniforms.
We believe that our students deserve the opportunity to represent their respective high school while playing the game they love. Our goal is to make sure that each school is provided this opportunity for many years to come…
